I have been living on the Big Island of Hawaii for 16 years and off and on for 25.
I have been in real-estate almost forever ;). I started buying and selling homes in California in 1990.
I used to buy, redo, and sell homes and condos for myself. As friends asked me to help them buy or sell their homes, it became a business and I became a real estate agent.
I joined Aloha Kona Realty Inc. in 2006 due to the integrity and solid reputation of the business. I just became partner/ owner this year 2015 and am very excited about the people working here and future of this company.
After listening and learning what a client's needs are, I pride myself on being truthful and sometimes actually talking clients out of buying things if it does not suit their needs . Some buyers tend to get caught up in the buying of things and forget their priorities and need someone like me to protect them and keep them focused. Most importantly, I like my clients to be happy with their decision and not make a hasty decision.
I will also tell the seller the truth of price point depending on when they want to sell a property. Market analysis is a key feature of being a good agent.
I answer my phone 95% of the time - if not I get back to you asap. This is hard to find, and why I became a Realtor myself. When I was selling my properties it was not always easy to find a Realtor who would answer their phones, much less get back to you.
I grew up in the service industry and have learned by experience that treating people like you like to be treated, helps everyone in being successful in making a very important, emotional and economical decision.
